We’re growing and we couldn’t be more excited to share the news!

Very soon, our Connecticut Wedding Group family will open the doors to a brand-new office space, located just across the street from our highly anticipated Riverbend venue in Higganum, CT. This expansion marks an exciting milestone in our journey to make wedding planning even more seamless, personal, and accessible for our couples.

Why We’re Expanding

Over the past few years, we’ve had the joy of helping couples celebrate their love stories at our beautiful Connecticut venues. From the rustic charm of The Barns at Wesleyan Hills to the lakeside romance of The Pavilion on Crystal Lake, the panoramic views at Lyman Orchards Golf Club, and soon, the modern elegance of Riverbend.

With Riverbend’s opening on the horizon in June of 2026, our planning team is busier than ever. We wanted to create a space where they could focus entirely on helping our couples bring their dream weddings to life… and what better place than right next to our newest venue?

What This Means for Our Couples

This second office will be home to our planning team, the behind-the-scenes experts who guide you through every step of your wedding journey. From design meetings and vendor coordination to menu collaborations and buttoning up those final details, our planning team is dedicated to making sure each and every detail is seamlessly managed.

By being located just steps away from Riverbend, we can offer:

On-site convenience: Perfect for Riverbend couples who want to pop over for planning meetings or see their venue in progress.
Enhanced collaboration: Our planners can move seamlessly between the office and the venue to ensure everything is picture-perfect.

“We met in 2020 and immediately hit it off. In late 2023 we got engaged and toured the pavilions shortly afterwards, and instantly knew it was the perfect venue for us. Everyone at the pavilions has been welcoming, and we have always felt heard and seen as a queer couple in our planning sessions. Plus we are so looking forward to the excellent food at our wedding!!

Love that began by watching a UConn game and grew through every adventure – we’re so excited to be planning their wedding with them at The beautiful Pavilion on Crystal Lake, where their vision will come to life surrounded by fun, love, and celebration!

“We first met in 2021 and had our first date at World of Beer in West Hartford to watch a UConn Women’s Basketball game. From then on we’ve been cheering each other on through every adventure-running trails, triathlons, kickball, trivia nights, and yes more UConn basketball-we’ve built a love rooted in support, laughter, and everyday joy. Now, we’re ready for forever.

Working with CT Wedding Group has been amazing, everyone has been the most kind and supportive through wedding planning. We’re most excited for our vision of our perfect day to come together with the picturesque views at the Pavilion and dancing the night away with family and friends.”

It’s been such a pleasure working with them through the planning process!

“We met in 2017 on a trip to Arizona through URI’s spring break service trips. Since then we’ve been best friends and spending this life together! Whether watching every movie released or traveling to Maine, New Hampshire, Las Vegas, Colorado, Ohio, Dominican Republic, and New Orleans, we’ve definitely created memories that’ll last forever. We got engaged in September of 2024 and in February of 2026 we’ll be getting married at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills! Michele and Courtney’s love story is full of joy, connection, and authenticity, and we’re so honored to be a part of their journey at The Pavilion on Crystal Lake. It means the world to celebrate couples like them who show what true love is!

“We’re Michele & Court — we met playing softball at College and started dating in 2016. Since then, our journey has taken us all over the world, with unforgettable moments like getting engaged by the beautiful Bay of Naples in 2023.

As an interracial lesbian couple, finding a wedding venue where we felt truly seen, safe, and celebrated mattered deeply to us. From the moment we visited The Pavilion on Crystal Lake, we knew it was special. Not just for its stunning lake views, but because it gave us the feeling that our love matters.

Sam and the entire team at @ctweddinggroup created a space where inclusivity isn’t just a promise—it’s a lived experience. Every detail made us feel welcome, affirmed, and excited to say “I do” exactly as we are.

We’re so excited to be helping Tricia and Ashlee plan their wedding at The Barns at Wesleyan Hills! Their story is such a lovely reminder that love can grow and deepen, even across distance and unexpected moments.

“We met at a time when neither of us was looking for anything serious. We spent some time together before I had to leave the state for work, but the distance only brought us closer. We kept talking every day, visiting each other whenever we could-and somewhere along the way, we realized we’d fallen in love. What started as something casual quickly turned into the most meaningful part of our lives.

We’re so thrilled to be working with the CT Wedding Group-they’ve been incredible every step of the way. We’ve heard nothing but amazing things about the food (we have our tasting coming up so I’m sure we will be able to confirm it’s as delicious as everyone says!). And the grounds at The Barn are absolutely stunning-we can’t wait for our guests to experience the beauty and magic of the venue on our big day.”
